Experience working in an educational based environment a plus but not required.

Role of Department: COIC provides an alternative high school setting to students ages 14-21 to make up credits and return to their regular classrooms, or to earn the GED.
Students may also participate in Work-Education, a work-experience program that combines classroom credits with community service and natural resource projects.
Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to assist and collaborate closely with COIC Teachers at multiple campuses to support school activities.
Assists in enrolling new students: receiving new referrals, contacting families and scheduling enrollment meetings.
Proctors weekly GED exams, tracks attendance and makes daily absence notifications.
Makes copies, correct student work, and assist in student instruction as needed.
Works under direct supervision of Youth Education Manager.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read and write.
Ability to interact professionally with Teachers, Students, Parents, and other Stakeholders.
Reliable transportation and ability to commute to multiple worksites in all weather conditions.
Preferred Skills: Bilingual.
Experience with data entry.
Experience handling confidential information.
Experience working in classrooms or education.
Experience in customer service.
