*ABOUT THE POSITION:* **As an Interior Designer at BBT, you will work closely with our architects and clients to conceptualize and execute interior design solutions that enhance our architectural projects' functionality, aesthetics, and overall appeal.
You will be crucial in translating architectural plans into inspiring and functional interior spaces.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* • Collaborate with Architects: Work closely with our team of architects to develop integrated design solutions that align with the overall architectural vision and project objectives.
• Client Engagement: Meet with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, and budget constraints.
Present design concepts and gain client approval for interior design proposals.
• Collaborate with Consultants: Meet with consultants on decisions directly related to interior design, as needed, such as lighting consultants, electrical and acoustical engineers.
• Conceptualization: Develop innovative interior design concepts, layouts, and color schemes that harmonize with architectural plans and client specifications.
• Space Planning: Efficiently utilize available space and create layouts that maximize functionality, flow, and aesthetics while adhering to building codes and regulations.
• Material and Finish Selection: Choose appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures that align with the design concept and meet quality standards and budget constraints.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed interior design drawings, specifications, and schedules for construction and procurement purposes.
• 3D Visualization: Create 3D renderings and models to help clients visualize the final interior design and make informed decisions.
• Budget Management: Work with project managers to monitor and control interior design project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and craftsmen to ensure the successful execution of design plans, including the sourcing and procurement of materials and furnishings.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct on-site inspections and quality control checks to ensure that the interior design is executed in accordance with the design intent and industry standards.
Review submittals and shop drawing for interior items to ensure construction execution with design intent.
*QUALIFICATIONS:* • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Professional certification or licensure in interior design or architecture is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Interior Designer in an architectural firm or interior design agency.
• Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling software, and design visualization tools.
• Knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and finishes.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Creative and innovative design sensibility.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles, LEED certification, and WELL AP is a plus.
• K12/Higher Education experience is a plus.
