Kendall Auto Group is one of the largest family owned and operated dealers in the Pacific Northwest and premier employer in Central Oregon.
We are looking for a Shop Production Manager to join our team at the Kendall Collision Center.
The Productions Manager’s position requires a person with great discipline and attention to detail in order to insure that every repair meets not only company standard but the customer’s approval as well.
Must be capable of delegation responsibilities to a multitude of different personalities.
This position requires a person who can work well with management, estimators, technicians, parts personnel, insurance companies and customers.
This is not an entry level position.
Previous technician and/or management experience in a large dealership or collision is required.

Determine if preliminary estimate is ready to go into production.
· Prepare supplement for each vehicle.
This is to be completed and reviewed with the technicians prior to turning into office.
· Review materials and additional charges that will be required for each job.
· Review the “work order” with the technician, identifying the areas in need of repair and eliminating any misunderstanding of the “work order”.
Items requiring clarification could be prior repairs, prior damage, customer requests, etc.
Verify what calibrations are required to perform the required repairs.
· Assemble the necessary parts for the technician and insist that the technician verifies the parts for correctness.
· If any of the parts are incorrect notify the parts manager immediately and determine if the vehicle is to be pulled from production or to continue with the repairs in anticipation of receiving the correct parts in a timely fashion.
· Pull any necessary repair procedures.
Document and provide to technicians.
· Frequently inspect the work in process to identify and special repair problems and to verify that the quality meets or exceeds company standards and OE procedures.
This is to be done through all stages of repair and after final assembly prior to customer delivery.
· Continually “dig” or carefully inspect work in process to locate any damage missed or materials missed on the work order.
· May require performing tear downs for inspection.
· Fill in when technicians are out sick or on vacation.
· Upon completion of repairs verify that all sublets have been completed or that the office is aware of required calibrations or other sublets needed.
· Assist with necessary sublets.
May require transporting vehicles to sublet or coordinating others to transport.
