Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean.
The successful candidate will be responsible for instruction in all levels of the TRAL program.
The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to a re-envisioned TRAL curriculum and activities, with the potential to develop and teach new courses.
The candidate should provide evidence of successfully employing innovative pedagogical techniques and technologies in the classroom and in the field.
The successful candidate will promote diversity through their pedagogy and student mentoring, as well as collaborate with OSU-Cascades in interdisciplinary community outreach efforts.
The position is renewed yearly with opportunity for promotion to Senior Instructor.
OSU-Cascades, located in Bend, Oregon, is a branch campus of Oregon State University.
Established in 2001, OSU-Cascades now enrolls more than 1000 students in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
OSU-Cascades currently offers upper division undergraduate and graduate courses.

Key Responsibilities 80% – Teach and provide mentoring.
Initial assignments will be implementing and delivering undergraduate instruction in the TRAL program.
10% – Maintain currency in the field through activities that lead to personal investment and growth within an area of expertise (either the instructor’s discipline and/or educational pedagogy).
This may include, but is not limited to, any of the following: Maintain familiarity with recent developments in evidence-based instructional practices through literature review, workshops, conferences or other activities Maintain currency in academic discipline through professional workshops, conferences, certifications or other professional development activities.
Disseminate ideas and methods within the program, university, and broader community.
10% – Serve on Oregon State University-Cascades committees and service to the community; and other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need Master’s degree in discipline appropriate to the field of teaching/instructional tasks.
Two years of teaching experience at the college level or more than five years of experience within the TRAL field.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing mental and emotional health & wellness programs and / or iniatives within the TRAL field.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
A demonstrable commitment to collaboration (with inter-and intra-university programs/departments, and/or with external stakeholders).
