Excavation *Heavy Equipment Mechanic* must be able to work on all aspects of heavy and light duty trucks, trailers, and a variety of excavation and material handling equipment including backhoes, excavators, dozers, loaders, and other related equipment, managed toward the minimization of any equipment downtime while ensuring that all equipment is operating safely and in a fully functional manner.

*Responsibilities & Duties* * Establishing and maintaining timely Preventive Maintenance schedules for all equipment * Diagnosing and planning proper and efficient repairs * Troubleshoot, repair, modify and maintain equipment by performing skilled mechanical repair and maintenance (including fabrication where necessary) of construction equipment (including, material handling equipment, heavy and light duty trucks, heavy and light duty trailers, power equipment and other related equipment.
* Compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
* Purchase and source replacement parts efficiently in coordination with administrator * Initiating, developing and maintaining necessary communication with administrative to ensure proper documentation for all PM, repair, and modification details on all equipment.
The ideal candidate must be able to work on heavy trucks, light trucks, backhoes, excavators, loaders, and other related excavation equipment, and must also have welding and fabrication skills.
This position requires running diagnostics and managing multiple tasks at one time.
This person will need to work independently while maintaining the ability to work well with others and provide accurate and timely communication and reporting.
*Requirements:* * 2+ years of experience in the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
* Ability to travel to job sites.
* Ability to do diagnostics and manage multiple tasks at one time.

* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Training and experience with welding and fabrication.
* CDL preferred.
* Physical effort is required to move objects and service-related tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required to service and repair equipment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.
